Terms
Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 25 April 2026
These terms apply to every order placed with TEI Ceramics through teiceramics.com. By placing an order you agree to them. They are written in plain English; the Dutch translation can be requested by email.
1. Who you're buying from
TEI Ceramics · KvK 98959964 · BTW NL005363781B34 · registered in Amsterdam, Netherlands · hello@teiceramics.com.
2. Who we sell to
teiceramics.com is a business-to-consumer (B2C) shop. We currently ship within the EEA, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland. If you're outside that area, please email us before ordering.
3. How a contract is formed
Selecting "Pay" on the checkout page is an offer from you. The contract is concluded the moment Mollie confirms your payment to us — not when you submit the form. Until then, no contract exists and no charge has been made. We email you a receipt as soon as the contract is in place.
4. Prices and VAT
All prices on the site include 21% Dutch VAT (BTW). The total payable, including shipping, is shown before you commit on the checkout page. The receipt we email you is your invoice and breaks out the VAT included.
5. Shipping and delivery
Shipping cost depends on the destination zone and is shown on the checkout page before payment. Full details are on our Shipping & Returns page. By statute we deliver within 30 days at the latest; in practice we aim for the timescales shown there.
6. Right of withdrawal
As an EU/EEA consumer you have a 14-day right to withdraw from this contract without giving any reason, starting on the day you receive the goods. The full conditions, the Annex I model instructions, and the model withdrawal form are on the Right of Withdrawal page. You can also withdraw an order in two clicks using the withdrawal form.
7. Conformity and warranty
Under Dutch law (BW art. 7:17) the goods you receive must conform to what was reasonably expected. If a piece arrives broken, defective, or materially different from the listing, contact us within 14 days of delivery and we'll repair, replace, or refund — your choice where the law requires it.
Each piece is wheel-thrown by hand, so small variations in glaze, weight, and surface finish are part of the craft and are not defects. Listing photos are accurate but lighting may shift colour slightly.
8. Damage in transit
Ceramics are fragile. If a piece arrives broken, send us photos of the box and the damaged piece within 48 hours of delivery and we'll send a replacement (if available) or refund the piece.
9. Liability
Our liability for any direct loss is limited to the amount you paid for the order. We do not exclude or limit liability where the law forbids it — including for intent, gross negligence, or personal injury (BW 6:233).
10. Cancellations by us
In rare cases (stock errors, payment fraud, or studio emergency) we may have to cancel an order. If we do, we refund in full within 14 days and email you to explain.
11. Governing law and disputes
Dutch law applies to these terms. Disputes are resolved by the competent Dutch court — your statutory right as a consumer to bring proceedings in the country where you live is preserved.
12. Severability
If a clause is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the rest of these terms remain in force.
13. Changes
We may update these terms; the version that applied at the moment of your order is the one that governs that order.
